A Week in the Service

Dear family!

How has everyones week been!?! Ours has been great! ill be honest taht this week Im not really in the mood to write a big long email...lol, dont worry that doesnt mean im mad or grumpy or anything, Im just not feeling like writing a whole weeks analysis...:)

We had the new missionary meeting this week! Ive been to 5 new missionary meetings (1 for me, 2 for my new missionaries, and now 2 in this calling) and it was the best new missionary meeting by far! I felt like I did the best that Ive done and President who followed me shed some tears! It was a powerful meeting. The topic I spoke on has been very near to my heart as it has been something that has guided my mission. It is a talk given by President Monson like 15 years ago called the 3 reasons why we serve missions. and in reality it should be calle the 3 reasons we serve the Lord (in general), because it speaks to everyone. It names 3 different reasons or motives for serving the Lord...namely fear, duty, and love. Its cool because it is a progression and under each one he describes attiributes to the T of types of missionaries characterized giving examples in modern day and from the scriptures of all three...fear- Laman and Lemual; duty-the rich young man that wouldnt forsake all to serve the Lord; and love- Nephi and Captain Moroni... and man it is a powerful talk. So I handed it to everyone and then we read it/I talked about it and it was sweet!! I know that once I started striving to serve out of love in everything I did was when I really started to serve the Lord and see the success by working with His Spirit...it was a great experience and I think/hope that it helped the missionaries.

Anyways I hate to not give you much, but other than meetings, temple trips, interviews, and exchanges we have just been doing our usual running around and helping with whatever problem arises in the mission! I dont know if I already told you but we have the goal this transfer of going on exchange with every companionship in the mission and so we started that this past week. We knocked out half of the high desert going on exchanges with each of them for an hour at the least and half a day at the most depending on needs and such and it seemed to be successful. We are having fun with it and hoping that it is inspiring the mission to get on to high planes of obedience and hard work!

Oh hey! I dont remember if I already told you but yesterday I went to Breanna Snows baptism and more I gave the talk on Baptism! It was so sweet! I dont know if you remember but the Snows were the ones we were working so hard with in ON in my first area! And finally Breanna is getting baptized and Geoff and Vicky should be with in the coming weeks! Im so glad for them and its so sweet to taste some fruits of hard work even months after it has happened! And on top of that I was talking to the Elder who is serving in my old area in Rialto and he told me that these two daughters of a less active sister that Elder Mooody and I worked so hard with but to no avail are getting baptized in like 2 weeks!!! Man Im so excited for them!! The miraces that come! He said they still have and use the drawing of the plan of Salvation that I drew when we were teaching them! Man the miracles and fruits even a long time after!
